Hollywood Food Coalition has deep roots in the community. We would not be able to accomplish what we do without the care and commitment from each of the volunteers who come to us every day.
Volunteer for Community Dinner
Meal Preparation Shifts
7 days a week
If you love helping in the kitchen, join us for our Meal Prep shift on Monday through Friday from 1:30 pm – 4:00 pm, on Saturday and Sunday from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. We need help every day.
Meal Service Shifts
7 nights a week
Our meal service volunteers are our connection to the community we serve. We ask our volunteers to be able and willing to chat, answer questions, and be kind to our guests. If they need additional services our Leads can help. This may be the only time anyone has spoken to our guests all day.
Monday – Friday
5:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Meal Service is located at 5939 Hollywood Blvd, 90028, on The Salvation Army Hollywood Campus.
Saturday & Sundays
6:15 pm – 8:30 pm
Volunteers meet us at our weekend street location on the corner of N. Orange and Romaine (90038).
Volunteer for the Community Exchange
The Community Exchange is where all our food and other donated items are sorted, organized, and distributed to our Community Dinner, as well as many other nonprofits serving vulnerable members of our community. It is a busy location with deliveries coming in and orders for other nonprofits being gathered and readied for distribution.
