Mobile Health Clinics for Community Wellness

Many people experiencing poverty and homelessness have had negative experiences addressing their health needs. They often access medical services only when health issues become critical. Most do not have a regular doctor who knows them and who can provide consistent care.

The Hollywood Food Coalition and The Mobile Clinic Project at UCLA

Our Clinic Project was created in 2000 to meet with people where they are. By bringing medical care to them, our Community Dinner guests (clients) are better served. The medical team develops ongoing relationships with our clients, and they provide essential medical care that results in better health outcomes for those we serve.

UCLA has provided health services through their Mobile Medical Clinic to thousands of clients over the years. In the last few years, we have also added additional mobile clinics and health services to provide for our clients’ well-being.
